1x Thorn Lightstream E27 TQEP 50 Electronic PAR, 50W 12V M50 Light Bulb Lamp, PAR38
Edison Screw (ES) [E27]
220-240V only (replacement bulbs 12V)
This bulb is approximately 135mm high by 120mm wide.
Please note this lamp has a built-in transformer, it runs on 220-240V from an E27 socket, but lowers the voltage so low-voltage MR16 bulbs can be used, up to 50W. 50W bulb is included.
MR16 bulb can easily be replaced with a new bulb once it has blown.
Brand New.
The Thorn Lightstream TQEP E27 is a vintage 1980s or 1990s housing and transformer unit. It was specifically designed to adapt bulky, inefficient PAR38 incandescent lamps into modern, low-voltage 12V MR16 spotlights.
Because these models are obsolete, they are now highly sought-after, rare collectable items.
How the TQEP Works:
A classic E27/ES (Edison Screw) base fitting designed to screw into standard overhead sockets.
Features a built-in step-down transformer converting 240V mains voltage to 12V. Lamp: Houses a 12V halogen MR16 lamp (typically 35W to 50W), effectively allowing the use of dichroic capsule bulbs in old-style ceiling cans.
